THE LOVE OF MUSIC

AND WE ARE HAVING AN ABSOLUTE BLAST

BELOW YOU WILL FIND LINKS TO THE FEATURED ARTISTS ALONG WITH BASIC NOTES EXPLAINING MUSICAL CHOICES AND INSPIRATIONS

JΔGΔ JΔZZIST Vs KNIGHTS OF JUMUNGUS : TOCCΔTΔ - MUNGOLIΔN JETSET

I honestly can't remember exactly how I came across this, but judging from the structure and tone, I'd have to say that it would have definitely reminded me very much of the orchestration work by Philip Glass.

PRISENCOLINENSINΔINCLUSIO - ΔDRIΔNO CELENTΔNO

This very strange offering would repeatedly appear on my twitter feed from time to time, so was impossible not to take note of.

Deliberately unintelligible gibberish from this multi talented Italian superstar.

RΔDIO SΔVΔLΔS - LUKE VIBERT

Expect to hear from this chap across several quite different shows in the next few weeks/months. First coming to my attention viaNINJΔ TUNE, but has also released stuff throughWΔRP andMO' WΔX, so watch out!

YOU HΔVE TO UNDERSTΔND - LFO

I could listen to this on a loop all day! Probably not a good idea, health wise?

Discarded from both my ELECTRO BREΔKDOWN and MINIMΔL GROOVEDOWN shows, but has found it's rightful home here.

LET'S GO TO MΔRS - DΔNIEL WΔNG

Whenever I hear a track by Daniel Wang in a mix, it always stops me in my tracks, and I have to find out exactly what I'm listening to.

CELEBRE (THE REVENGE MIX) - HΔRRY WOLFMΔN & SKINNY LOVE

Another track that I'm really not sure how it came to me, but it works with this current shift.

DON'T STOP THE MUSIC - THE STRIKE BOYS

I suppose you could clumsily label these as the German equivalent to Daft Punk. I first became aware when I would buy absolutely everything that

WΔLL OF SOUND released. I included Jet Set on my very first vinyl mix nearly 20 years ago, which is now presented in digital quality.....90 MINUTE SHOWDOWN for your convenience if you so wish to listen.

DIME BΔG CONSPIRΔCY - LORD NEWBORN & THE MΔGIC SKULLS

From a collective of super producers that includes Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and Shawn Lee. The latter's collaborations with Bei Bei are included on my BΔD COPS and GLOBΔL 90 shows, and both propucers in this guise, close out my NO RAP HIP HOP show.

WE CΔN'T BE COOL - YOKO KΔNNO

Taken from the Soundtrack to Ghost In The Shell ('17), with the ever dependable Beat Takeshi. Scarlet Johansen is the star of the show but Kiteshi Kitano is The Man!

I was very keen to see this after purchasing the original Animé version many moons ago.

I'm pretty sure that I saw this on IMAX, or a very large screen at least, and was so impressed that I picked up the Blu-Ray when it came out. It's actually still unopened, I must set aside time to watch it before the format becomes completely obsolete.

IS IT BECΔUSE I'M BLΔCK - SYL JOHNSON

Syl Johnson last appeared on WHΔT'S IN THE ΔIR TENNESSEE? with a track that provided the basis for B-Boy Breakdown that featured on 90 MINUTE BREΔKsDOWN and Shame On A.... that I used on THE MEECH-TΔNG CLAN.

I'm sure that I'm not alone here, I absolutely love it when listening to old and classic songs, and you recognise Breaks and Samples that have been used elsewhere.

Well, you should recognize this from Black Sunday by Cypress Hill.

Once you get past that, we have a really powerful song on our hands. All these decades later, and it doesn't appear that we've progressed much as a species?

I KNOW ΔND I KNOW ΔND I KNOW THΔT YOU KNOW THΔT I KNOW THΔT IT ΔINT RIGHT!

BETTER CHΔNGE YOUR MIND - WILLIΔM ONYEΔBOR

I really have been trying to fit this into a show for a while now, but have been cautious not to alienate any of the casual listeners.

A Nigerian Afro Funk version of Jean Michel Jarre, only for the seasoned ear.

Perfect for the totally mixed genre format, further appearances to follow hopefully.

DOWN HERE ON THE GROUND - GRΔNT GREEN

Tying in with the earlier Cypress Hill  connection.

SO COOL (FET. TYNΔ) - RECLOOSE

First featuring Recloose on WHΔT'S IN THE AIR PLΔNETMEECH? and PLΔNETMEECH MMXX, it's safe to say that his talents shoehorn in very favourably to this type of mix.

KNEE DEEP IN BEΔTS - LONDON FUNK ΔLLSTARS

I've been playing this a fair bit over the years, ever since picking it up when I used to buy anything I could on the Ninja Tune label, as evidenced by MEECH'S NINJA CUTS 4.

BETTER ON STΔGE - FLOW DYNΔMICS

Lifted from a Hip Hop show I'm working on, and felt that it works better here at threading the music together.

ENTER INTO DUB - THE ΔGGROVΔTORS & PΔOLO BΔLDINI

Add a little Dub into the mix and allow to simmer for 90 minutes.

STRΔNGE HILL - THE BLΔCK DOG

A track with exactly the same title as the one featured on WHΔT'S IN THE ΔIR PLΔNETMEECH?, however, sadly this particular track does not appear to have been inspired by the GRΔNGE HILL theme. Get ready for more Black Dog on MEECH'S WARP 4, and more Superdense Child on MEECH'S MΔRBLE BΔR 4, which I only started yesterday after first incorporating MΔRBLE BΔR releases on my BREΔKs/BEΔTsDOWN mixes, nearly a fifth of a century ago!

GET YOU SOME - CΔPTΔIN PLΔNET

Whenever I finish a show and upload it, I always seem to come across tracks straight away that would have definitely gone in the mix.

This really should have featured on PLΔNETMEECH LΔTIN 90.

LEGIONNIΔRE LOUNGE - FOREIGN LEGION

I was going through all my available music on the lookout for Hip Hop of the French variety and was misled by this offering. Plucked from that project, and sitting rather snugly at the tail end here.

GETTNG TOGETHA - FUDGE FINGERS

The Marvin Gaye sample is particularly pertinent in this time of isolation.
