NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A MONEY MAKING EXERCISE

IT HAS BEEN DONE PURELY FOR

THE LOVE OF MUSIC

AND WE ARE HAVING AN ABSOLUTE BLAST

BELOW YOU WILL FIND LINKS TO THE FEATURED ARTISTS ALONG WITH BASIC NOTES EXPLAINING MUSICAL CHOICES AND INSPIRATIONS

INTER-LERGEN-TEN-KO - THE SABRES OF PARADISE

My good friend and collaborator HEAVY PC/Af(f)/Alfonso/MixScalibur, stitched me right up on his last show.

I got the credit for providing a Five Star album for him to copy.

Well, all credit for the introduction of The Sabres Of Paradise must go to the above mentioned collaborator. This was copied and used as the intro to my up tempo mix for the car, not all of the music was released as late as '94. But if you were a passenger in my car around that time, then you would definitely have experienced these tunes.

WISDOM FOR THE WISE (RED1-3?) - DAVE CLARKE

If I'm in the mood for apportioning credit, then all credit for this tune must go to my favourite bearded Radio 1 Disc Jockey of the 90's.

I first heard this on The John Peel show, and I simply new it as Red, and recorded it as such. A slightly different mix made it's way on to the Archive 1 album, but I'm unable to upload it from my hard drive to iTunes (R.I.P.).

However, click the link to buy various versions and formats of Red...if you need to.

FILTER KING - 69

More Electronic experimentation by way of the above mentioned radio host.

CHAMPION SOUND - Q-PROJECT

Hopefully, my good pal, Mr. Karl Hansford remembers this from our days spent motoring around the South Coast.

I've been desperately trying to squeeze this in to a show ever since last October, first with NO LEGS 90, but for one reason or another, nothing seemed to work. That is, until now. I can finally place it here, in it's rightful home.

Incidentally, Mrs planetmeech will be very happy to not have to keep listening to this over and over again, while I try and fit it in to a show. - Not very relaxing for middle aged domestic life.😂

MELTDOWN - SALT TANK

Another big thanks to the Radio 1 maverick, this show could have quite easily had his name in the title, but I had already created the cover all those years ago. To not use it here would have been criminal.

DISTURBANCE - HYPER ON EXPERIENCE

I'm not one hundred percent sure where I first heard this (KH I suspect?). But it fits, and manages to tie everything together really well.

QUADRAFUNK - PYREX DETOX

I will be using 'that special track' by Tjeerd Verbeek/Pyrex Detox on a later show - PLANETMEECH 2000, but this has all the hallmarks of the track mentioned. This appeared on the Sabrettes records label, and was very easy to spot in the rack (bright pink).

*I hope I've not extended myself too much here, but I've attempted the equivalent of a 'three deck mix'?

PEACE, PT.1 - DJ FOOD

More diverse sounds from another alias of Coldcut/Matt Black and Jonathan More.

Get ready for MEECH'S NINJA CUTS 4, some time next year hopefully.

I'm sure that I've mentioned this already, but I have a lot to thank the men behind Ninja Tune for. This label, along with a few very similar Beats centred labels have been very important to me for quite some time.

ENTRANCE - SUN ELECTRIC

Thanks Af, great tune👍

THUNDER - RENEGADE SOUNDWAVE

My old pal Dan Ashton provided the 'IN DUB' album for me around this time also, I will be calling on that album again in the future/past???

SAN FRANSISCO - 808 STATE

Had the opening few tracks not been already set in stone, then this would be a very strong contender.

PHI*1700[U/V] - U-ZIQ

The title just trips of the tongue, and was one of the very first tracks I thought of when putting this together.😂

JOEY BELTRAM - CALIBRE

Mr. Beltram, a staple for any radio show, car journey or dance floor.

I hope you can tell the fun that I had when mixing these tracks - an absolute joy.

BIOMECHANOID - INNERSPHERE

Of course this came from John Peel, however, it's not available on my chosen platform for sourcing digital music, so I had to buy an import from Amazon.

Unfortunately, I could not find a great deal of my Sabrettes records in the digital format, so I'll have to make do with these.....for now.

PEARL - LUKE SLATER'S 7TH PLAIN

I'm a big fan of Luke Slater, and have been collecting his records for a very long time. When I found out recently that A-TON/OSTGUT TON were re-releasing The Chronicles, I was over the moon.

However, I mistakenly searched on Apple Music for 'Luke Slater/Luke Slater's 7th Plain' and came up short every time. The only material in my library was content that I already owned. Not even the recommendations provided a link to the pot of gold. I was being thwarted in my attempt to spend money on the digital product, I was even ready to shell out for the physical media on Amazon.

For some strange reason, I ended up simply searching for 'The 7th Plain'.

I'm sorry for not attempting to cut this story any shorter, but I need to share my joy with everyone.

I now have nearly four hours of material in my library.

Get ready for......MEECH'S 7TH PLAIN OF LUKE SLATER.

Needless to say, this is way before we get to Planetry Assualt Systems, or even the Luke Slater releases...

NEOPHOLOGY - AIR LIQUIDE

Settling in for a more sedate Acid experience as we approach the end of the 'tape.'

POINT BREAK - SULFUREX

No need to mention who we need to thank for introducing this slice of

Crazy Acid/Dirty Techno.
