This was the first Hardfloor record to be released this century, and picked up during my long rehabilitation period. Fortunately, I still have solid memories of playing it towards the top end of the volume control, and quite frequently.
Probably much to the annoyance of my neighbours in Greenwich. Who, I don't think were the biggest fans of Hardfloor, or even German Acid Techno of any description.
This 'mini album' was probably my first Hardfloor purchase, and that is all down to being an enthusiastic listener of The John Peel Show. You will notice that there is one glaring omission from this project.......
Acperience, in any of it's guises, does not feature at all?!
It did appear on PLANETMEECH II (coming soon), and was recorded from the above mentioned radio show. I didn't even know the correct name or artist? I have referred to it at various stages in the past as Vangelis Techno by Hard-Trance??
From the 'gold standard' Hardfloor LP, TB Resuscitation.
Many years ago, I attempted to integrate a couple of tunes from this album into other mixes. The Hardfloor sound is quite unique and very recognisible, so I ended up with this dedicated set instead.
I was very excited about the release of this record, having neglected Hardfloor for a while. This would prove to be a very welcome reintroduction to the craftsmen of the 303.
The beginning of this number is possibly a bit too full on, so rather than leave it off altogether, I've opted to use just the final third.
This appeared on a Trance Europe Express compilation that I bought, just as the doors of Electronica were opening for me.
This record was a slight departure from the normal Hardfloor template, with possibly a more rythmic and funk base.
Therefore, sounding slightly less European, and a little more American??
I absolutely love this track, and fortunately still have strong memories of it from my earlier life.
I'm fairly certain that this was my very first Hardfloor 12".
I picked this up on one of my many excursions to Berwick Street, when the place was still a thriving hotbed of record stores. I'd already been a huge fan of this from listening to a taped copy in the car, possibly provided by Mr. Skinner. I even remember it being played by a local DJ at a shady 'after hours' establishment in St.Reatham.
THIS HAS TO BE USED IN A FILM ONE DAY!!
I'm not too sure exactly what kind of film though? Maybe a Sci-Fi Horror, Cop Movie set in Tokyo with a Time Travel angle???
A prelude to the penultimate track in terms of theme and sentiment.
As mentioned above, much fun to be had from this LP, so many great tunes to choose from.
A return to earlier territory, after the Da Damn Phreak Noize Phunk? EP's
Included to convey the thoughts of Ramon Zenker and Oliver Bondizio. So what, if they haven't changed their style or output in all these years?
I'm more than happy to be listening, keep it coming please....
This has to go here.
